Biennial Review 2020 Jury

Martin Braathen is a senior curator of contemporary architecture at the Norwegian National Museum. He studied architecture at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim and at the Berlin University of the Arts. He has a PhD in the history of architecture. Braathen previously worked as a freelance architectural critic, editor-in-chief of the Norwegian journal Arkitektnytt, and director of the Oslo Architecture Triennale.

Harri Hautajärvi is a Helsinki-based architect, Doctor of Science (architecture), curator, architectural historian and critic. He has run his own architect’s office since 1995, specializing in building design, conservation, interior design, exhibition design and graphic design. He has written and edited architecture books as well as over 200 articles. His main area of research is 20th century Finnish architecture. Hautajärvi was the editor-in-chief of The Finnish Architectural Review from 2000 to 2008. He is the recipient of several accolades and awards.

Kirsi Korhonen is a Helsinki-based architect. She graduated from Helsinki University of Technology in 1985. She has run her own architect’s office in various configurations since 1987, and since 2002 she has run a joint office together with her husband, Architects Kirsi Korhonen and Mika Penttinen. Their works include a wide range of different housing projects, from individual single-family houses to large apartment blocks in the capital region, as well as the renovation of modernist public buildings. A significant part of their work has come through architectural competitions.
